Hi! My name is Phyllosophia, I’m a 20 year old girl from Germany and my favourite food is culture mixed with heaps of sunshine. Now, that I’ve blown my first secret and we’re pretty much best friends, I would like to let you in on the secret of what this blog will be about and all the exciting stories you will be able to read on here.

I know how exciting it can be to find out about other peoples’ secrets and suddenly become part of their world.

And that’s what I want to do on this blog. I want to share my experiences with you about how it is to live in Germany, England and Italy as a young adult. Or what happens when you suddenly move to the Netherlands to study in English in a country where you don’t speak the language with the most diverse culture I’ve ever come across in one little country.

And finally, I promise to tell you all the crazy stories that will happen to me in my upcoming semester which I will spend studying in freaking Japan! Eeeek! I’m more than excited for that!!
(disclaimer: by the time, I’ve published this post I am already living in Japan so the stories about living here will be posted in no time!)

I’ve always loved to read and I think that through reading about other people’s experiences in books or on blogs we can learn so much about all the cultures of the world. It starts with the people, their food, to the whole society and their mannerisms in all their beautiful differences and similarities.

Today, we are lucky enough to have access to all that without having to move an inch or even spend a penny on it. Okay okay, now I’m exaggerating- if you want to read a book, you will first have to go to a book shop and buy it. But that is nothing compared to a couple of hundreds of pounds or a 9 hour flight. So please bare with me!

I Will Fill this Blog with Stories, Love and Sunshine

(Btw. I will not apologise for how much cheese I’ve drizzled over of this post because this is exactly how I feel. I’m just too excited!!)

My focus for this blog will be on the experiences I make in the countries that I live in. But since I’m also travelling whenever I get the chance to, mostly to visit family and friends all over the world, I will write about that too. We’ll see what happens but I’m already very excited for all the upcoming experiences and look forward to using this blog to reflect on the things that happen to me.

For you, this means that you can look forward to reading about my first impression of countries, how it is to get settled in, what the people are like, unique things only this country has to offer and much more.

To round this off, I would thank you for reading my first blog post of this series and I hope that you are as excited for the next stories as I am!

I wish you the most beautiful day full of sunshine!
Phyllosophia
