I’ve never been the biggest fan of cheesy quotes. But whenever I come across one that does trigger something inside me, I always make sure to write it down. So I have countless screenshoted or saved somewhere lost in the 128GB storage space of my phone.

At an earlier point in time, I’d write them on post-its or cut them out and cover my door with them. That way, I could see them day in and day out. Some of them stuck with me and some of them were just pretty words. But, in the end, they all touched me in one way or another and inspired me to push myself out of my comfort zone, to go out and explore the world.

Today, when I went through my phone on a 6-hour bus drive through Vietnam, I realised that I had never put my quotes together in a collection like I did back then on my door.

And since I’m currently in the full-on travel mode, I thought I’d start off by sharing some of my favourite quotes which are just perfect for a wanderluster like you and me:

“No One looks back on their life and remembers nights with plenty of sleep.”

-Unknown

“If not us, who? If not now, when?”

-JFK

“Luck is a dividend of sweat. The more you sweat, the luckier you get.”

-Kroc

“Every adventure requires a first step.”

-The Ceshire Cat

“It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live.”

-Albus Dumbledore

“Never stop exploring.”

-Unknown/ I know it from The North Face

“Create a life that feels good on the inside.”

-Unknown

“She didn’t care so much for things;
instead, her heart yearned to see
new places, and meet new people,
she wanted experiences
that would inspire her
to become greater in spirit,
to live as freely,
as her heart loved.”

Mark Anthony
